The head of Association is President - Deputy of Verhovna Rada of Ukraine, Corresponding member of Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine, professor, doctor of medical sciences Mikhail V. Loboda.

    Association is a member of National Federation of civic medical associations of Ukraine and FEMTEC.

    Pan-Ukrainian Association of Physiotherapists and Health Resort Specialists as all civic organizations in field of health defense has as a goal improvement of health of Ukrainian citisents. In this field main criteria of Association’s activity is assistance in integration of scientific and practical potential of all its members. Nowadays in Association is 186 collective and more then 600 individual members, which represent all regions of Ukraine. Among them health-resorts of JSC “Ukrprofozdorovnytsa”, Governmental treatment-sanitary administration under President of Ukraine, corporation “Silgospzdravniza” and others. The integration of common efforts is necessary for effective development of scientific and practical activity in the field of physiotherapy, health-resort medicine and medical rehabilitation.

    At the same time Pan-Ukrainian Association of Physiotherapists and Health Resort Specialists plays an important role in defense of social, economic, creative, professional interests, rights and freedoms of its members.

    The main functions of Pan-Ukrainian Association of Physiotherapists and Health Resort Specialists are:

- Assistance in the work of health defense organizations, health-resorts, scientific-research institutes, developers and manufactures of medical technic.

- Perfection of development of main fields in development of new technologies in physiotherapy, health-resort medicine and medical rehabilitation in Ukraine.

- Work out of straight program of feather development of scientifical investigations, its harmonization with laws, active introduction in life of advanced experience, which is of a great importance for improvement of rehabilitation medicine.

    Besides this Pan-Ukrainian Association of Physiotherapists and Health Resort Specialists introduces propositions to organs of government in the field of improvement of organization of administration of service of physiotherapy, health-resorts and medical rehabilitation, assists in increasing of qualification of members of Association, system of preparation of specialists of physiotherapeutic profile.

    It take part in development of recommendations for the estimation of quality and standardization, preservation and rational usage of natural treatment resources, medicines found out on their base and approbation of physiotherapeutic techniques.

    Pan-Ukrainian Association of Physiotherapists and Health Resort Specialists organizes seminars, meetings, congresses, scientific conferences with international participation, publicate scientific-practical journal “Medical rehabilitation, health-resort medicine, physiotherapy”, which is included to profile editions of Supreme Attestation Commission of Ukraine, scientific thesis-books of conferences, monographies, methodical recommendations.

    Pan-Ukrainian Association of Physiotherapists and Health Resort Specialists has a great scientific-practical potential, perspective plans for feather cooperation with specialists in health-resort sphere, physiotherapeutic profile and other specialties in the way of perfection of rehabilitation field of medicine in our country and on the international level.

    Association closely works with Ukrainian Scientific-Research Institute of Medical Rehabilitation and Health-Resort Medicine, Ukrainian Scientific-Research Institute of Children’ Health-Resort Medicine and Physiotherapy, high medical institutions of Kiev, Odessa, Charkov, Zaporizza, Lvov, Ivano-Frankovsk and other structures, which deal with health-resort system.

    Together with scientists of profile scientific-research institutes and medical universities were worked out more than 20 books, monographies, recommendations, more than 100 methodical recommendations in different questions of health-resort treatment with usage of natural resources and preformed physical factors. Association has its own publication base for methodical literature.

    All regional unions and health-resort institutions are provided with methodical materials. Scientific- methodical department of Association holds out work in the field of study out of necessity in methodical materials, medical equipment, reconstruction and planing of health-resort institutions and can provide any practical help.

    In Association you can obtain information and consultive help in law, economical and organization questions of your practical work, questions of preparation of specialists and increasing of their qualification.

    Achievements of Pan-Ukrainian Association of Physiotherapists and Health Resort Specialists in perfection of health-resort medicine, increasing of effectiveness of physiotherapeutic methods of treatment and wide rational usage of climateterapy as one of the main methods of treatment and prophylactics of diseases in industrial civilization have been marked for many times on the meetings of General Assembly of FEMTEC.
